For over 6 years, The Evolution Training Center has provided the Hillsborough Jr. Raiders with a safe, friendly and innovative facility for instruction and practice. Our cheerleaders are treated with the same familiarity and concern that the Gym’s all-star team members receive. Our daughter has been involved in the Evolution program for 10 years. What began as an after school activity turned into an insatiable passion. We never fully realized the value of the program until our daughter applied to colleges. She is academically gifted and applied to a very competitive program at over 15 colleges. The application process was rigorous and included multiple one-on-one interviews at each college with senior admission’s officers, professors, college deans and selection committees from medical schools. During those interviews, there was always a detailed review of our daughter’s accomplishments. All the interviewers commented about her tenure in All-star Cheerleading. They emphasized to her how import it was not just to be involved in a variety of activities but also to show characteristics that demonstrated depth and a commitment to succeed. They were impressed by the decade of dedication to the activity, her passion for the sport, the challenges she faced, and the endurance she displayed to stay committed for so long. This was a significant attribute they were looking for which would indicate she would be successful in the challenging program she was applying for which had nothing to do with cheerleading or sports.
